Why this book exists.

Choosing between Science, Commerce, and Humanities after Class 10 is one of the biggest decisions of a student’s life. But it does not have to be the scariest. The Stream Strategist treats this decision with the seriousness it deserves — with real data, honest career maps, verified salary figures, and a framework designed for you.

It is not motivational. It is not generic. It is a system — built specifically for Indian students of classes 8th onwards and their families, across CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE and State Boards.

  • 55 chapters · 11 parts · structured to be read by students of classes 8th onwards and parents together.
  • 40+ careers with verified 2026 salary maps (entry, 5-year, 10-year bands).
  • AI-era analysis: what is safe, what is changing, what is rising — per stream.
  • Verified entrance-exam calendars: JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT, NID, UCEED, NDA and more.
  • Parent Corner in every chapter — designed for family conversations, not lectures.

About the author

Sonal Chaudhary.

Sonal Chaudhary is an educator, career guidance writer, and the author of The Stream Strategist 2026. Her academic foundation spans financial analysis, commerce theory, and applied business practice across more than two decades.

Her interest in career guidance grew not from the classroom but from a kitchen table — watching her own daughter navigate the overwhelming weeks after Class 10 boards, armed with a 97.2 per cent aggregate and no clear framework for choosing what came next. That experience convinced her that India’s students deserve better than guesswork at one of the most consequential crossroads of their lives.

The Stream Strategist 2026 is her first book. It distils her academic background in commerce and finance, years of research into India’s education and career landscape, and her deep conviction that every student — regardless of marks — deserves a structured, honest, and data-backed process for making this decision.

Behind the book

The two people who shaped it with the author.

Every page of The Stream Strategist 2026 passed through the editorial precision of a senior solutions architect and the artistic eye of a Class 11 fine-arts student.

Anusha Chaudhary

The illustrator and cover designer of The Stream Strategist 2026 — and, in more ways than one, the quiet inspiration behind it. Anusha completed her Class 10 CBSE board examinations in 2026 with a 97.2 per cent aggregate, and is now pursuing Class 11–12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Fine Arts — a combination that speaks precisely to the kind of student this book was written for.

It was her own evening at the kitchen table after Class 10 results — uncertain and overwhelmed despite a near-perfect score — that gave her mother the urgency to write this book. The cover, back cover, and spine you see were conceived and executed entirely by her.
